&lt;p&gt;The Royals had one out in the 8th, with runners at the corners, and still had a 2 run lead.  Why not bring in Soria then to try to get you out of the inning?  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Even if his fragile arm cannot throw more than three outs, we could have brought someone else in to pitch the 9th and still have a chance to win.  Instead our all-star closer never got out of the bullpen.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This team has to stop giving away games where they have 8th inning leads if they want to contend.&lt;/p&gt;
